“There is beauty and form all around us. I am deeply affected by everyday parts of my life, my surroundings, and by my memories. The challenge of capturing my grandmother’s rolling pin is calling to me from the other side of my kitchen. My husband, my children, my friends- I am fascinated by their contact with life; I want to lock those amazing memories in my mind. So I paint them. The flowers, the birds, the lollipops and insects, the dishes and pets, all of these are wondrous things, How could I not paint them, capture them, and share them with this world – it’s what artist do.”
